Summer break for school is almost over. The girls have one more week before heading back to the books. Each year at this time, we make a trip to our favorite beach to give the girls one last get-away before they go back to school. We did things a little different this year and only stayed one night. Usually, we stay at the hotel the night before going to the beach and then another night after. This year, we confused the girls by going to the beach first and then checking in at the hotel. With Mike's work schedule, we found it more cost effective to do it this way. We still had plenty of time for a whole day of beach fun, some pool time in the evening and some shopping as well. I love these weekends - they are so relaxing for us. We don't plan anything - no restaurant reservations, no attractions to be at during a specific time or anything else like that - just pure family time on the beach and at the hotel pool.
