We have a pool. We have a bathroom that has a door that leads out to the pool. I love it! The kids can go in to the bathroom from the pool ninety billion times without getting my living room floors all wet. Because I'm a mom, every time they head into the bathroom from the pool, I make my "mom" announcement: "Please be careful, the floor may be slippery if your feet are wet." You now know where I'm going with this, don't you? Ok, here's the gig: I was in the pool on Father's Day and had to make a necessary trip to my bathroom. No, it's not the same one that has the door going out to the pool that my kids use. My usual "mom" announcement didn't occur to me - at all. So, needless to say, upon entering my bathroom with my wet feet, I did what I'm going to call the "slide into home base" across my bathroom floor and landed pretty hard onto my left hand. It hurt, it hurt real bad and yes, it still hurts! Now, being that this is now July and my wrist is still killing me, I'm using it as my excuse for not blogging. Yes, I'm calling my Dr. tomorrow to make an appointment to get it checked out. Oh, did I mention I'm left handed? Gotta go now, I'm making my wrist hurt more by typing...
