For some reason, I felt compelled this morning to organize my pantry. I know my mom and Mike's cousin Debbie are laughing at me now as they read this because to them, I have some kind of "issue" with my compulsive checking of expiration dates on EVERYTHING I touch as far as food goes. So, I'm going to confess, I DID have ONE can of veggies that had "best by Feb 11, 2009" stamped on them. Now, most would say, they are still good because the wording "best by" however, I can't bring myself to open them up as it is after the date on the can. Ok, I'll admit, maybe I do have some issues...SOME! There, it's out... isn't that the first step to confronting a problem - to admit you have one? And yes, I am the girl who goes to my spice rack with my laptop to the McCormick website to punch in the codes on the bottom of my spice jars to see when they expire as well. So, in case you are out there and afraid to admit that your spices may be outdated... here's the McCormick link so you can check for yourself.. I won't tell anyone you were there! http://www.mccormick.com/Spices101/HowOldSpices.aspx
Have a great weekend everyone!

Tooth Fairy
Jennah came home from school this afternoon and said "I have two surprises for you today mom!" So, I asked her what they were and she said "Well, one is that I got a 100 on my math test." Which I was very happy to hear as she's been struggling a little in math. The other surprise was a big toothless smile! She's lost another tooth on the bottom. So, tonight, the tooth fairy will have to trudge through that messy bedroom of hers to put some money under her pillow! Hope she makes it through the rubble!

Bunkbeds...
Last weekend, Mike and I decided that we are going to put the girls in the same bedroom and use the other bedroom as a playroom. It's just getting too crazy to keep their toys separated and picked up in their own rooms. Jennah's things are in Kaylee's room and vice versa and I'm tired of sorting them out. We ordered bunk beds on-line to put in what is now Jennah's room and when the beds come in, we'll take Kaylee's crib down and move her. That way, we won't have to move Jennah's tv armoire which is solid oak and weighs a ton! We'll still keep Jennah's old bed in the playroom for guests if needed. The girls are very excited. Jennah has always wanted bunk beds so she'll finally get her wish! Of course, we bought the beds that can separate just in case we need to split them up once they get older! Anyway, here's a pic of the beds we ordered...

Happy Mothers Day...
Mothers Day was very nice this year. I joined Kaylee at school for Mothers Day Tea. She made me a "vase" from a bottle covered with colored tissue paper. It had a flower pen in it. I also received a picture from her with a nice poem on it along with cut outs of her hand prints. Jennah went shopping with daddy and actually decorated a cake for me at the grocery store. What a fabulous idea! I love our local Publix grocery store! She also picked out some lovely roses and some cute cards. We also went out for lunch at Cracker Barrel. Later we went to Grandma and Grandpa Wilkinson's house for a visit. All in all, a very nice day!
