mid week surprise...

I took the girls to the college I'm going to for the monthly Kids and Sibs program. It's a program they offer to students where they can bring their children and/or siblings in for some fun. Tonight's special was a Build-Your-Bear workshop. I didn't exactly tell the kids where we were going, just that we were going to have a little fun. With all the torture of me not telling them for a few days, and them trying to guess where we were headed, they were surprised when they finally found out what we were doing. They had lots of fun making their own stuffed animals and I had fun torturing them, errr I mean surprising them! Here are some pics:

Kaylee - holding up her choice of animals, a dalmation puppy...

adding some stuffing...

and a kiss for his "heart" to give him lots of love inside. (She named him Tobey)

Jennah working hard on her animal...

adding just enough stuffing "so he's not fat."

Here she is...Jennah's newest pet monkey. She named her "Star".

Bueller - Bueller

Not a lot of exciting things to post lately. I did take my HIV/AIDS and Other Infectious Diseases class for college last week. I admit, I went in with the phrase "Bueller.... Bueller" running through my head. (for those of us that remember the teacher from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.) I really thought it was going to be boring until I walked into the classroom and spoke with the instructor who happens to be the head of the Medical Examiners Office and used to be on the Crime Scene Investigators Team! OOOHHHH YEAHHHH! The stories this woman told were fascinating - well to me anyway. I don't know why but I do like me some gross true stories! I passed my test with flying colors and took home my certificate. I'll be hitting the real books in a few weeks. Next week, - basic life support and CPR classes - fun fun!
