Upon picking Jennah up from the bus stop this afternoon, she gets in the car and we have the following conversation:
Jennah: "Hey mom, guess what I did in school today?"
So, I kid around with her and say "Ummmm you ate ALL your lunch." (We know she lOVES her food)
Jennah: (with a real serious look) "Noooo, I didn't go to recess today."
Me: "Uh oh, what happened?" (thinking she got in trouble for talking. (her second favorite thing to do)
Jennah: "I decided to work on my power point presentation instead."
Ok, tell me this girl is normal. Again, she's a 7 yr old! POWER POINT PRESENTATION! What? In second grade? - and skipping out on recess to do it? hhhmmmmm. Of course, she makes us smile - we're very proud of her!

E.T.
Anyone remember in the movie E.T. when he hides in the little girls closet with all her toys... Here's a picture of Kaylee in the tub that holds her "lovies". She was hiding on Jennah but then laughed so loud, Jennah found her right away! She thought it was the funniest thing. Kaylee told us to "go away and then find her again" so we did but she kept hiding in the bucket each time! Too cute!

mmmm bacon
Lately we've been working on getting Kaylee "fluffed up." By that I mean, she needs to eat more. So, upon taking her to the nutritionist, we've had her on a high protein, high calorie liquid menu to help stretch her stomach so she doesn't always feel full. Well, I'm going to say it's beginning to work. Yesterday, for breakfast, she ate a huge pancake from Cracker Barrel and a glass of milk. Now, she didn't eat much for dinner which is normal but she loves the smoothies and shakes we've been making to supplement her not eating. This morning, we were shocked to watch her eat TWO whole strips of bacon and a WHOLE slice of toast. Yea Kaylee! Hopefully, she'll keep this up and will continue to grow normally.
