Just another day...
Not much happening around here today. We picked my van up from the shop this morning. Yea! It runs great now. No strange noises any longer! After that, we went out to the local Deli for lunch. It was my first time there but hubby and the girls had been there before. It was very good. I had a Philly Steak w/cheese. Mmmmmmm. Pure goodness! The owner of the shop was very nice and asked me if the girls could have some treats. Since they were good - and they usually are - I said yes. He gave them each a snack size bag of chocolate chip cookies! They told him Thank You and he in turn told me what lovely children we have.. yeah, he should come home with us to see the REAL children! Nah, they are good or at least they know that when we go out, they'd better be! LOL.

Girls Day Out
The girls had a day off from school today so we took Kaylee to Nonna's house so Jennah and I could catch a movie and some lunch. We went to see Monsters vs Aliens in 3D! It was a pretty cool movie and being in 3D made it that much better! I took some cute pics of Jennah sitting there (before the movie started) with her 3D glasses on and her popcorn beside her but little did I know that my memory card was not in my camera! Oops. I left it in my computer this morning when I posted the pic of the girls reading on the couch. Oh well. There will be another 3D move time I'm sure! It just means that there's no pics for you to see tonight! After we picked up Kaylee, we headed home to make dinner and then took both girls out to the park until the sun went down. A fun day all in all. Now for bedtime...
Sisters...
Who's got the best big sister in the world... Kaylee! I know I've said this before but Jennah is so good with her. She loves to read books to Kaylee and Kaylee just loves to sit with her and listen. Generally they play well together but I just love these moments when they're just hanging out together on the couch. I could just watch them forever!

Night night Jennah...
Knowing...and then NOT Knowing!
So, as you may have read in the previous post, Mike and I went to a movie last night. We saw Knowing. I'm skeptical of Nicolas Cage movies as they are either good or they're flops with no in between. This one was pretty good. It had a lot of "on the edge of your seat" scenes along with a pretty good story line. The end (and I won't spoil it for you) was just ok for me but all in all, I did enjoy it. We also went out for dinner afterward to Winners. It's a sports bar type of restaurant. Now, here's a funny... I ordered a buffalo style chicken wrap. The waitress said "Would you like that hot?" Here's where my stupidity kicks in... I reply "Yes." Mike ordered the exact same thing. After the waitress left our table, I said to Mike "Now why on earth would she ask if I wanted my wrap hot?" - unless some people eat them cold like the Cool Wraps you can get at Chick-Fil-A. Needless to say, when she brought our food, I started eating and finally realized "hot" was used as a SPICY term and not a temperature term here. Oh My Gosh, that wrap was HOT! I thought my tongue would swell and I'd die right there! Next time, my answer is going to be "No thanks, mild will do!" See... we do need to get out more often!

Date night...
Mike and I are going to see a movie tonight! His mom gave him a gift card to the theater for his birthday and said she would watch the kids for us! Yippeee! Ok, now, here's the sad part. I haven't been to the theater since .... here goes... Mama Mia was playing and no, I didn't see that show with Mike! Ouch, we need to get out more often! I'm pretty sure we're going to watch the Nicolas Cage movie; "Knowing". Of course, I'll post my review sometime tonight or tomorrow depending on how late we are getting back.

It's not easy being green...
Spring is in the air so everything is green! Ok, so it's not the green that we all would like. I'm not talking lush green lawns or even trees with pretty green leaves. I'm talking about cars and lawn furniture dusted in green pollen! That's right, even our silver van has a green hue to it. It's awful and has wreaked havoc on my sinuses! I've taken everything under the sun for sinus/allergy issues and am just short of cutting my nose off and ripping my eyeballs out of my head! So, here I sit with my tissues for yet another night of sniffling! UGH!

One down, three to go...
Well, tonight it happened... Mike finally hung the curtain rod over the sliding doors in the family room. Mind you, I bought the rod a year ago and have looked at it leaning in the corner of the family room ever since! So, now we ONLY have the windows left in our breakfast nook to cover. Those will be the toughest because there are three windows at an angle that will definitely have to have some specialty rods or shades made for them. Yes, we've lived here for almost two years and are just now covering up windows in back. There's no one behind our property and never will be so we just didn't do it. My thing is I hate that the back windows look unfinished; "Like we didn't have the money to buy curtains" as I usually say! Anyway, here's the pic with the curtains pulled open a bit... I'll steam the wrinkles out of them tomorrow!
