Summertime is almost here
Summertime is almost here. If you've ever been to Florida in the summer, you know we get rain almost every afternoon around 4pm! So, in getting prepared for that, we invited my brother over to the house to get up on our roof and pressure wash the gutters out. We love the trees in our yard but they sure collect in our gutters over time. He does a great job cleaning them and all we have to do is feed him! So, I cooked some slabs of ribs on the grill along with some baked beans, potato salad and some cole slaw. We had a nice time after all the work was done just sitting around and chatting. Until next year, thanks for the work brother!

I taught myself...
Ok, we all know my mom makes the nicest crochet blankets (see "An irregular grandma" post). Well, for some reason, I felt compelled to purchase an "I taught myself Crochet" kit. It came with the crochet hooks and some other crochet must haves along with an instruction book. I've always wanted to learn but found it hard as I am left handed an only know right handed people that crochet. So, imagine my joy to find that the book has instructions for lefties! I whipped out the book and the hooks along with my yarn purchase and proceeded to make my first crochet chain. That's where the fun ended. I tried and tried to make that "second lesson" step but just can't seem to get it right. I feel like I have two right hands! So, before I got frustrated (and tied myself up), I put the book and the hook down and decided to give it up for tonight. Oh well, is there any use for a crochet chain because I can make a pretty good one!

Spirit of America Concert...
Jennah sang in the school concert this evening. It was very nice and probably one of the best school concerts I've been to for her. The last few have been nice yet a bit chaotic and unorganized. Ok, honestly, lots of chaos at the last few we've been to. This was none of that. Organized, and sweet. They sang songs about America. It was almost tearful at one point as they had the military veterans stand up for recognition and then the little ones dedicated a song to them. Soooo cute. In case you don't know Jennah, she's in the middle row, standing to the left of the girl in the light blue shirt.

Our Princess'
What a week so far. Mike and I have been pretty busy and I've been trying to go to bed early which is my excuse for my lame posts lately! Good one huh? Anyway, I took Kaylee to therapy on Tuesday and the receptionist Genia gave us a huge bag of her daughters dance outfits for the girls to use for dress up play. Oh my... did they ever eat that up! Both of them LOVE to play dress up and pretend they are princesses. So, of course, we had to take some pics. (And if you're reading this, Thanks Genia!)

MagicJack
Ok, so we all know we are a gadget family! Mike and I are typically up on the new electronic gizmos. Well, we now are proud owners of the MagicJack. It's a new little gizmo that you plug into your computer and then plug your phone into it. Once the set up is complete, you never have to pay a monthly phone bill again. It's only $19.95 per year after the initial purchase of about $40.00. The great thing is you get free long distance, voicemail, caller id and call waiting. Now, I'm not trying to sound like a tv infomercial, I just think it's a great deal! Anyway, if you want more info, you can go to www.magicjack.com!

Dinner...
Tonight we had dinner with my brother, sister, dad and their families. We went to Grillsmith New American Grill. It was very nice and the food was delicious. I had the Lemon Feta chicken which was very good. It was my dad's birthday a week ago but since we were on our cruise, we waited to celebrate it tonight. Not much else happened today. Now I've got to make sure the girls have their uniforms ready for tomorrow and then I'm hitting the bed!
