As Seen On TV...

Every year for the last few years, it has become almost a tradition to receive an "as seen on t.v." gift for my birthday. I know, crazy huh? But really, some of those things actually work. Last year for instance, I received a pull out tray for my coffee pot. I liked it so much, I got one for my mixer too! It's simple, store your mixer or other item on it, slide the tray out, use your item and slide it back! If you have a stand mixer, this tray is the best as it makes it so easy to move that heavy machine!

Anyway, this year, I oooh'd and ahhh'd over a spice rack I saw on tv. No, I didn't buy it after I checked it out on the internet. "ONLY $19.99! BUT WAIT - THERE"S MORE! you'll get TWO units for that low price." Ok, not really, you can get two but you have to pay shipping for each item even though you order it at the same time! So, the total would be more like $40. I wasn't going for it. So, my spice cabinet remained in it's unorganized condition until my birthday when I was handed a gift bag - low and behold ... the As Seen On TV spice rack! I seriously yelled "shut up" at the person that gave it to me. I was sooo excited! Really, I went home and re-did my spice cabinet that night. The slide out storage rack holds 20 spice bottles (10 on each rack). Seriously, what a space saver, slide it out and turn it to face you! Ahhhhh, no more falling spice jars! So, here are my pics. I wish I would have taken a before picture. Trust me, my spice cabinet was a train wreck!

here's how it looks in the cabinet...(FYI, this is only one unit w/two racks)

..and then after pulling out one side and turning it. (the other rack just flips the opposite way after you pull it out)
